![]() Unfortunately, this was one of two stays at a Hilton property on just this trip that had big issues, and I don't think I can trust that Hilton is there to support its guests like it used to be.… I tried everything, and resorted to disputing the charge with my credit card issuer, which is disappointing because I know they paid me for it, and the hotel is getting away with it. I responded, requesting again to have it removed, and did not receive a response. I paid nothing up front, and the confirmation did not include the fee. is paid when you make the reservation," which is completely false. ![]() I responded to the Hilton survey, and was told "the apt fee. I asked to have the fee removed, and was transferred to the general manager's email he never called back. I later searched and searched both the app and website, and couldn't find it, not that it would have changed anything if I had. When I mentioned that I shouldn't have to dig through their website to find a hidden fee, and that I booked through the app, I was told it was disclosed in the app. I called to ask why I was being charged this fee, and was told it was disclosed on the website. They had charged an "airport convenience fee" of $6.95 as if that was a legitimate thing to do. The problem came after checking out, when I checked the emailed receipt once at the airport. The stay was the most expensive on our 10-night trip, but it was also the nicest. The only real complaints about the actual stay were the loud HVAC unit, and being stuck in a first floor room (for some reason there wasn't the option to pick a room at check in as most Hilton properties allow). The room itself was big, clean, and mostly very comfortable.
